                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 4649
                   SHALLOWFORD ROAD, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE
                   OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD NORTHEAST OF CAINE LANE,
                   FROM M-3 WAREHOUSE AND WHOLESALE ZONE TO M-2
                   LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 4649 Shallowford Road,
                being on the northwest line of Shallowford Road
                northeast of Caine Lane.  Lot 1, E. F. Roberts
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 38, page 245, ROHC; being part of the property
                described in deed book 3501, page 179, ROHC.  Tax
                Map No. 137M-A-1.6.
               
               
         from M-3 Warehouse and Wholesale Zone to M-2 Light Industrial
         Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:

              	   1.	Subject to dedication of right-of-way as required
                        by City Traffic Engineer.
        
              	   2.	All existing easements are retained.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
